On behalf of the Executive:
SHARP is pleased to announce a number of vacancies for the position of Country Liaison Officer.
Application deadline 20 April 2012.
These positions will be for a two-year period beginning spring/summer 2012. Countries positions currently available include: United Kingdom, Australia, India and Netherlands.
Applications for country positions not currently with a serving officer are also encouraged. Currently, SHARP has serving officers for Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, New Zealand, Slovenia, South Africa, Spain, Sweden. Please note that there are no current officers for Ireland, China, Russia, Poland, or for countries in South America.
As the US is covered by a number of Affiliate Society liaison officers, there is no vacancy for a US country liaison officer at present.
To apply, please send a one-page outline of how you best qualify for the post, including past experience as well as plans for the future, along with a one-page CV to

The applications will be processed by a small committee and the results will be announced at the SHARP annual conference in Dublin.
Consideration will also be given to those early on in their careers (who might benefit from this CV-enhancement) as well as to more established scholars who would like to be attached more closely to SHARP.

News: The Call for Papers for SHARP's inaugural session at a SAMLA conference is now available online. The Convention will be held November 9-11, 2012, at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel and Convention Center, Research Triangle Park, Durham, North Carolina. Proposal deadline: June 1, 2012.
